Biography
| My name is Frank Kralis. I was born on
July 6, 1984. I grew up in the city of Rochester,
in New York state. I originally attended Rochester City School #41,
and Charlotte Middle School, before finally moving to the town of
Irondequoit and attending West Irondequoit
High School. It was there that I started working on the
technical crew of all of the schools musicals and dramas. I was more
involved with the sound, lighting, video and design aspect of the
shows. During this time I met fellow colleague Marty, who was
working with the schools television station at the time. He is a
very entrepreneurial person, and credited with getting me involved in the
world of business. During my last year at the high school, and his junior
year, we decided to form our own company, offering services we already had
knowledge of from working on the theatrical crew: event production
services. We called the business Universe
Productions. We realized early on that working for someone else
just wasn't going to let us obtain our goals in life. Anxious to get
our new business off the ground, we rented a warehouse/office in downtown
Rochester, purchased audio, video, lighting, transportation and office
products, such as computers for the office, and cell phones.
Everything went well. We organized a big marketing campaign and
before long we were getting contracts with a great number of schools,
dance studios, and musicians including some nationally known acts such as
DJ Green Lantern (Eminems DJ), JadaKiss
and D-Block. We made all kinds of contacts in the industry, and
could basically get any kind of equipment we needed to run our
business. Around this time I met Nicole Bennett, who is, and always
will be the love of my life. Not to long after, still having the
entrepreneurial bug, I decided that I wanted to know more about business,
so I enrolled in the accounting degree program at SUNY
Oswego. Everyone is always asking me how accounting is going to help
me in business, but what they don't know is that business is
accounting. Business consists of a series of transactions in order
for it to be able to function, and the one process that lets you receive,
record and interpret that data of a business is accounting. Finance
and cash flow are critical to all businesses, and accountants are the
people who take care of all that, which is why accountants are usually
considered smarter than the CEO of a company because of the in-depth
knowledge they have of the company's finances. After college I would
still like to start my own business once again, but this time it would be
with different services and offerings. I want to start my own
property management/rental and real estate investment company since this
industry has peaked my interests and is considered one of the most
lucrative businesses in the world. Eventually I would like to own a
company that controls thousands of apartment
units in the northeast united states. I'm just going to continue
learning and see where it takes me from here. |
